AN EMOTIONAL WIN. The Mets defeated their rival, Philadelphia Phillies in a 2-1 14-inning thriller at Citizens Bank Park. After Osama Bin Laden was reported dead, and the news inspired a standing ovation and USA chants, New York, the first ballclub to play baseball after the 9/11 attacks nearly 10 years ago, won the only Sunday night game.
