SWEEPING SENSATION
On Sunday night in Major League Baseball, New York swept the Boston Red Sox in style, getting the lead in the 8th inning on back-to-back home runs at Yankee Stadium from Johnny Damon and Mark Teixeira. The stadium came alive and the brooms went a-sweepin'. Earlier in the day, The Phillies were swept by the Marlins, the Braves swept the Dodgers, the Pirates got swept by the Cardinals, and even the team with the worst record in baseball, the Washington Nationals swept the Arizona Diamondbacks to wrap up a loss-less homestead and make it 8 consecutive wins.
