ERRORS LIFT NEW YORK & LA AT HOME
C. C. Sabathia kept the Angels stuck in their tracks for eight innings of a 4-1 Yankees victory, allowing four hits and striking out seven with a walk, as Angels errors proved costly. The Dodgers scored two runs in the eighth inning to eke out a 2-1 victory against the Phillies after a throwing error by second baseman Chase Utley. On a night of errors for the teams wearing red, the teams in blue gained ground. The Yankees lead the ALCS 1-0, and the Dodgers have tied the NLCS, which moves to Phildaelphia for Game 3 Sunday.
