A MOMENTOUS UPSET IN BOSTON
CELTICS STUNNED BY SIXERS
With a stunning victory that almost immediatly captured the attention of a instantly confused sports world, the 76ers inched out a once-in-a-lifetime upset over the Boston Celtics. Elton Brand had 23 points and eight rebounds, giving Philadelphia the lead on a tip-in with 7.7 seconds left, and the 76ers snapped Boston's 11-game win streak with a 98-97 victory over the Celtics on Friday night. The Sixers had won only once in their previous 14 games. The Celtics have lost all four of their five games at home, and many have begun to doubt their morale.
