TMAC BACK IN BASKETBALL & SEASON DEBUT PROVIDES VICTORY FOR ROCKETS
The Rockets were forced to sit one headliner for Tuesday's game against the red-hot Detroit Pistons, but the long-awaited return of another star -- and perhaps the discovery of yet another in the making -- eased the pain quite a bit. Out was Trevor Ariza, the Rockets' second-leading scorer, suspended by the NBA for one game. But returning to the lineup -- however briefly -- was Tracy McGrady, back after a long hiatus following microfracture surgery on his left knee. Neither turn of events seemed to have much of an impact on the Rockets, who breezed to a 107-96 victory over the Pistons, snapping Detroit's five-game winning streak.
