WINTER SURPRISES ACROSS NFL
The Oakland Raiders upset the Broncos in Denver, ensuring that Toma Cable can keep is job for at least another week as the Raiders inched up in the standings. If they close out the season with 3 more wins, they can join the Broncos in the playoffs. Meanwhile, as snow pounded the east coast, the Steelers upset the Packers and the Eagles clinched with a victory over the 49ers. The Jets playoffs hopes were crushed at home as the Atlanta Falcons won 10-7. And the Patriots won again, improving to 9-5 in first place in the AFC East.
