14TH INNING SLAM PROVIDES MONUMENTAL WIN
The Colorado Rockies extended their lead in the National League Wild Card with a insanely dramatic extra innings victory over the second place San Francisco Giants. Ryan Spilborghs's walk-off Grand Slam gave the Rockies perhaps their biggest win of the season, 6-4 at Coors Field Monday night and Tuesday morning. The victory gave Colorado its biggest lead of the season in the Wild Card standings, four games ahead. The Rockies took 3 out of 4 from the Giants with the series concluding at 1:48am Denver time.
