ERROR COSTS ST. LOUIS GAME AS DODGERS TAKE COMMANDING SERIES LEAD AFTER CLASSIC COME FROM BEHIND WALK-OFF
St. Louis' Matt Holliday dropped James Loney's slicing line drive with two outs in the bottom of the ninth that would have ended the game. With the reprieve, Ronnie Belliard singled off Ryan Franklin to tie the score and pinch-hitter Mark Loretta singled home Casey Blake for a stunning 3-2 Dodgers win over the Cardinals in Game 2 of the NL Division Series. The Dodgers will go for a series sweep Saturday in Missouri. Check out a fantastic slideshow of the Dodgers win. In other postseason news, the Rockies evened things up with the Phillies after a nail-biting 5-4 win at Citizens Bank Park, giving them the home field advantage as the series shifts to Denver Saturday. And, to cap off Thursday's action, the Angels shut out the Red Sox 5-0 to take a 1-0 series lead in Anaheim.
