PHILADELPHIA TRUMPS D.C, WITHIN REACH OF 1ST
EAGLES DEFEAT REDSKINS IN WASHINGTON, "BROTHER" PHILLIES HOPE FOR SAME ROAD SUCCESS IN GAME 1 OF WORLD SERIES
While the World Series battle of the East features Philly vs. New York, monday night's battle of the East featured Philly vs. D.C as the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Washington Redskins 27-17 on ESPN's ever-so-popular Monday Night Football, drawing millions on a night without postseason baseball. Speaking of New York, the Eagles put themselves half a game behind the first place Giants in the NFC East. Marketing ploys have been set in place in Philadelphia to get people to buy pro-Phillies, pro-Eagles "brotherly love" apparel.
