REGULAR SEASON COMES TO CLOSING
The 2009 regular season has come to a end. In a year of tragedy, triumph, disaster, misery and celebration, two majestic ballparks opened, one is set to close and 8 are headed to the postseason with teams from across the country making trips looking for anything from their twenty seventh title to their first. Notably, the Orioles lost 13 consecutive games, and the longest winning streak of the season was held, surprisingly, by the Padres. Above, Citi Field, home of the Mets will not shine into the postseason but made itself noticed in its first year to impress (with big crowds and beautiful sunsets, at least). The first postseason game is tomorrow, as the Tigers and Twins face off in a one-game playoff to determine the American League Central championship.
